In the Know: Internet Safety

What’s something you believe everyone should know.

It is funny that this is today’s prompt, because I just had a conversation with my children about internet safety a few hours ago.

We should be teaching our young ones about the dangers of all things online. What to look out for. What to not worry about, and when to get a parent involved.

If you’re anything like I am, alot of my stuff revolves around online aspects.

We use discord for schooling and our gaming. We use Roblox, Minecraft, and Rec room as our main social games. And we post on places like YouTube and Instagram and tik tok.

So it is good to have talks with my children about the importance of keeping information to themselves and not giving it away to others. Especially with news on Roblox I have heard…. needless to say, I almost had everyone quit playing it.

But I did not. I want my kids to be able to come to me if there is a problem, and we’ve talked about how others can be.

So I think it is super important for children and young teens to learn about the internet and how to effectively keep themselves safe.
