Daily Walks: Self Therapy

What is your favorite form of physical exercise?

Stepping away from the vehicle and the convenience.

My Self-Care journey has been ever expanding to fit things into my life and in my schedule that benefit me…… but sometimes you just keep it simple.

Taking walks is timeless therapy.

It’s not only good for the body and the soul, but sometimes it’s nice to enjoy nature.

Having a walk when the breeze is just right, the birds chirping away, hearing the kids play on the swing set…… it gives me a wonderfully happy feeling.

And then there’s the grocery shopping.

Gotta pick up those groceries like the badass mom I am!

While I don’t like spending money, I know we need the food. And I love taking my time figuring out some dinner meals as I walk through the store looking at items and ingredients.

Because I will admit, Walmart has become super handy in this rough recovery time with my husband.

Being able to jump on the app and order what I need to have it delivered, has been nothing short of a life saver.

But I also know I’m spending more that way. So it’s nice to take a trip to the store and pick out my veggies and what I will make with them.

So, in short, I love to walk. Nice, slow, meaningful to me walks. 


I hope everyone has been having a wonderful weekend so far. I have been feeling a little overwhelmed with just everything, so I’ve set things aside that I can come back to.

I have been taking time to not think about work and blogging (eventhough it’s my therapy too), and just focus on the day. Getting my shower or bath, playing with the munchkins, and just talking with my husband.

Now what comes with setting things aside is the forgetfulness. I really have been forgetting things I shouldn’t, but it’s not detrimental,  so I’m not letting it bother me right now. I know my soul needs the rest.
